In this extended version of our traditional Game Time Basketball, players receive an extra hour of practice and game time, as well as a Jersey. Focused solely on player development, players get as many reps as possible both in practice and during games. Gameplay follows the same format as the Game Time Basketball class, and prepares players for Travel basketball.

Develop early basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling and passing, along with the basic rules of the game. All instruction is game/drill oriented with mini games and scrimmages played every week. This class is for the basketball beginner looking to understand the game, learn new skills, and have fun!

For our 100 level programs hoops are set at a height of eight feet (Coaches may adjust at their discretion) and 27.5 basketballs are used in accordance with USAB guidelines. 

The next step in basketball instruction, this class will build upon the fundamentals taught in the Basketball 101 class. A slightly faster paced environment will be geared around competitive play, encouraging tactics such as attacking the basket and aggressive defense. Players should have basic knowledge of the rules and be able to dribble comfortably in order to succeed in the class.

Players begin to develop more advanced skills such as various guard/post techniques, setting screens, moving without the ball, and offensive spacing. Defensive instruction includes man-to-man, denying the ball, help-line and boxing out. Players spend time developing their shot using proper mechanics to be effective further from the basket. Scrimmages are played every week.

For our 200 level programs hoops are set at a height of nine feet (Coaches may adjust at their discretion) and 28.5 basketballs are used in accordance with USAB guidelines. 

Class will be conducted with various guard/post techniques to develop passing, shooting and dribbling in game situations. Defensive instruction includes man-to-man, denying the ball, help-line and boxing out. Athletes qualified for Basketball 202 should possess intermediate shooting and dribbling skills, a basic understanding of the game and are looking for a more competitive basketball experience.

This program introduces players to team-oriented concepts as well as more advanced skill mechanics, while also refining fundamentals learned in earlier levels. New players will be able to learn these core concepts as well, and class will be separated to ensure players of varying skill levels progress at appropriate pace. A focus on body movement and control will be prioritizes to enable players to utilize all aspects of the game.

The highest level of our Academy programs, this class will push players to develop passing, shooting and dribbling for competitive in game situations, as well as ensure they understand all aspects of how game play is conducted at the High School level. Defensive instruction includes man-to-man, denying the ball, help-line and boxing out, and offensive instruction will work on attacking concepts both individually and as a team.

Campers improve their basketball fundamentals, learn advanced skills, and enhance their teamwork. Dribbling, passing, rebounding, shooting and defense skills are developed. Campers are divided into groups based on age, size and ability.

One of the best ways to develop your basketball skills is through game play, and in Game Time you do just that. Each week, basketball players are challenged through various games including 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5. Coaches referee and guide the class to enhance the players understanding of the game. This program is for female participants only.

The All Star Dribblers basketball program is designed for participants to continue developing early basketball fundamentals and begin having a better understanding of the game. The program prepares players for game play by incorporating the rules and physical skills learned earlier in the program with game situations.

The Junior Dribblers basketball program is designed to give children an opportunity to begin their basketball playing experience in a fun and supportive environment. During the class, activities are introduced to promote proper balance, equipment, hand eye coordination, following directions and early basketball fundamentals. Parents are required to participate in this program with their child.

The Pro Dribblers program builds on skills and rules learned in the Rookie Dribblers class and also introduces more fundamental techniques and basic rules.

The Rookie Dribblers program is designed to progress children through their early basketball experience. Simple skills acquired in the Junior Dribblers are reinforced and other aspects of the game are introduced in a fun and supportive environment.

In this small clinic players will receive encreased 1 on 1 attention with a lower coach to player ratio. Players will focus on multiple aspects of the game, with an emphasis on enhancing attacking abilities around the rim and the ability to collect and score from various passing positions. Ball handling will also be a primary focus with a miminum of 10 - 15 minutes of hand and eye work done to start each session. Footwork will be worked on weekly to ensure players have the requisite skill set to execute higher level concepts and build a foundation to compete at the higher levels.

Hot Shots Sports Summer Basketball Camp at Windy City Sports Academy (formerly Bradley Fieldhouse) is the perfect blend of instruction and gameplay, allowing players to continue to develop and grow in a fun and engaging environment. This camp will feature highly accredited coaches who custom tailor their curriculums every day to ensure players of all skill levels and experiences may participate. Coaches will prioritize drills and gameplay to ensure a focus is placed on enhancing player mechanics while also enjoying competitions and daily scrimmages. 

This advanced program will assist players with solid fundamentals and foundational skill sets with advanced training on hitting mechanics. Players will review all technical aspects of hitting from stance width, hip weight, snap, angular rotation, bat placement, grip, and finish to maximize hitting efficiency and power. Players should have a strong knowledge of hitting fundamentals, and are encouraged to bring a properly sized bat for their height and weight. All methods of bat training will be utilized, from machine to live ball hitting.

This baseball class gives players an introduction to baseball. Players work on technique and enhancing form in this comprehensive skills clinic. This program teaches throwing mechanics as well as batting stance, bat positioning and speed, using both live pitching and hitting off the tee. Players learn various positions in the field through game play and basic in game strategy. Players should bring their own gloves, and be ready for a fun, fast paced learning environment.

This program is designed for players to build on their current skills. Our instructors provide all players with assessments of their current skills, and offer each player tips and drills to improve their overall skills. This program features: stretching, form running, hitting mechanics, pitching mechanics, infield & outfield footwork, base running, game play and strategy. Participants should bring their own bat and glove.

This clinic is designed to enhance players' mechanics and form in fielding, throwing, hitting, and catching. Players will work in two person teams and receive focused instruction on body mechanics to ensure a solid foundation for optimal control, accuracy, and velocity. Players will focus on a specific aspect of the game each week, ensuring tiered development and that players leave learning an integral technical aspect every program. Sessions run at a maximum of 6 participants. Players are required to bring a glove, bats and helmets shall be provided.

This clinic is designed to instruct each participant on the proper hitting technique. Instruction and improvement of fundamentals for successful hitting includes: proper form/technique, grip, various stances, weight shift, stride, swing, and follow-through. Video analysis will be used to develop proper hitting technique.

In this two hour long program, players will focus an hour of training on hitting, and an hour on pitching. Players will go through various best practices to enhance their fundamentals, as well as work on more advanced concepts tailored to their form and body type to yield maximum results. Small coach to player ratios help ensure players receive individualized attention and reps, as well as finishing every session with competition to ensure they can execute their mechanics in a game like setting.

This intermediate program will assist players with solid fundamentals on improving their hitting mechanics and technique to increase contact and hand eye coordination. Players will review key areas of bat placement such as grip, bat placement, forearm angle, snap, and bat levels to ensure clean contact is being made with each swing. Players should have a basic knowledge of hitting fundamentals, and are encouraged to bring a properly sized bat for their height and weight. All methods of bat training will be utilized, from machine to live ball hitting.

This introductory clinic is designed to teach players basic fundamentals of fielding, throwing, hitting, and catching. The Juniors baseball program is designed to give children an opportunity to begin their baseball playing experience in a fun and supportive environment. During the class, activities are introduced to promote proper balance, equipment, hand eye coordination, following directions and early baseball fundamentals. Players of all skill sets will be able to participate and learn the great game of baseball! Players should bring their own gloves, helmets and bats will be provided. Parent participation is required for this program.

The Pros program builds on skills and rules learned in the Rookies class and also introduces more fundamental techniques and basic rules. Fielding, Hitting, Throwing, and Catching are focused on each week, with more emphasis on body mechanics and control. Players will be introduced to simulated game play and use comptitive skill games to test their ability to react to game like situations in a fun and accesible environment. Players of all skill sets will be able to participate and learn the great game of baseball! Players should bring their own gloves, helmets and bats will be provided.

The Rookies program is designed to progress children through their early baseball experience. Simple skills acquired in the Juniors division are reinforced and other aspects of the game are introduced in a fun and supportive environment. Fielding, throwing, catching, and hitting are focused on each week, with the aim to introduce players to a controled scrimmage by the end of the session. Players of all skill sets will be able to participate and learn the great game of baseball! Players should bring their own gloves, helmets and bats will be provided.

This introductory small group clinic gives our youngest Lil Leaguers their very first experience with hitting. Coaches instruct each participant on the basics of proper hitting technique including grip, stance, and swing, using tee work and other age-appropriate methods. Sessions are structured to keep young players engaged, active, and having fun while building coordination and confidence at the plate.

In this small clinic players will receive encreased 1 on 1 attention with a lower coach to player ratio. Players will learn various routes and focus on understanding how to stack a proper route, how to increase their get off and burst, and how to finish routes and execute a hands first catch. Players will be taught on how to make proper coverage reads from both the quarterback and receiver position, and how option routes work. All equipment shall be provided besides cleats, indoor cleats are permissible at turf facilities.

Players experience daily scrimmages with active instruction and tips from the coaching staff. Players are encouraged to employ skills used in football such as running pass routes, play calling, defensive positioning, the fundamentals of blocking and pass coverage. These skills and others will be put to use in a "game time" environment while the players scrimmage each week.

Come join in on the fun and start playing the nation’s most loved game! Players are introduced to stance, receiving, rushing, blocking and defense. Each week ends with a scrimmage encouraging teamwork and sportsmanship. Players always get to play either receiver or running back each week. Games focus on fundamentals and field concepts, as well as positions and mechanics. No equipment necessary!

The Pro Blitzers program introduces players to more inttricate aspects of football, and conintues on the fundamentals taught in the Rookies program. Players improve athletic ability and increase football knowledge in this fun filled skills clinic. Teamwork and sportsmanship are stressed while playing various games that teach the fundamentals of throwing, running routes and defense. All children have a blast, regardless of their prior skill level. All equipment is provided.

Players learn the basic mechanics and form for putting, chipping, and driving. Balance and control are emphasized as kids learn one of the world's fastest growing sports in an engaging and fun environment!
